About the Open Software Foundation

The Open Software Foundation was established in January 2009 as a District of Columbia non-profit corporation dedicated to public benefit. Open software foundation Incorporated was subsequently established in February 2009 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foundation to coordinate the development and marketing of OSF technologies and products as well as to provide more advanced professional services. The OSF is guided by the principles of the OSF Manifesto. OSF's view-as of January 2009-as to how it can advance the OSF Manifesto is set out in its Statement of Direction.

The Foundation

The Open Software Foundation is a District of Columbia non-profit corporation exempt from Federal income taxation under IRC 501(c)(3). It is governed by its Board of Directors.

Our Non-Profit Tax Exempt Status

The Open Software Foundation is a District of Columbia non-profit corporation exempt from federal income taxation under IRC 501(c)3. Donations are tax deductible for U.S. residents. For donors outside of the United States, please consult with your tax advisor about whether your donation will be tax deductible in your country/region.
