SYMPTOMS

A computer that is running Microsoft Windowx XP with service pack 2 crashes. You may receive one of the following stop error message.

Error Message1

STOP 0x0000001a: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

Error Message2

STOP 0x0000000a: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

 

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a race condition in the memory manager.

RESOLUTION

Method 1: Install security update 931784 (Recommended)
