OSF's Mission

OSF's mission is to facilitate the advancement of and responsible usage and retirement of technologies through research and development, training, and responsible disposal. To this end, we provide free legal and technical tools in order to:

Promote collaboration between content creators and users around the globe. OSF supports a world in which people actively engage in - and don't just passively consume - technology innovations and knowledge.

Build a pool of innovation, education, and green initiatives content that can be freely and legally accessed, used, and reused/recycled.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. All our tools are free.

OSF and You

Our green initiative also benefits our common home, the earth; by re-using, recycling, or responsibly disposing of pre-owned technologies this and future generations have a chance at a greener planet. All levels of giving over $10,000 include the following benefits:

$10,000-$24,000 - Silver

  • Access to Senior Staff and Board of Directors.
  • Open invitation to all OSF events - Including invitation - only events.
  • Recognition by gift level on the OSF website.

$25,000-$49,000 - Gold

  • All benefits of Silver sponsorship.
  • On site workshops / briefings conducted for your employees or group of colleagues.

Our Non-Profit Tax Exempt Status

The Open Software Foundation is a District of Columbia non-profit corporation exempt from federal income taxation under IRC 501(c)3. Donations are tax deductible for U.S. residents. For donors outside of the United States, please consult with your tax advisor about whether your donation will be tax deductible in your country/region.
